Congratulations! My book (Hometown Appetites) made the “Notable Book List” in 2009 so I know what this means for you. Last year there was a television news crew there and the ceremony made the evening news.
The more events you attend for Roy Bird at the KS Center for the Book, the more times you will be invited back.
Sunflower Book Festival will be held at Osborne, KS on Saturday, October 9. Hope you will be able to attend.
I so enjoyed reading “Silver Shoes.”
Cynthia, thanks so much for taking the time to write and share your experiences with being a 2009 Notable Book author. The whole thing sounds very cool, and I’m really looking forward to the coming year.
I’m still considering the Sunflower Book Festival in Osborne, trying to work out the details before the deadline passes. I just started a big new job, having relocated to Kansas earlier this summer, and the timing for this particular festival is tough … but not entirely impossible!
I’m also glad you enjoyed “Silver Shoes!” Thanks for taking the time to read it and for letting me know.
