“Silver Shoes” Redux – the 2015 Edition
In addition to my new silver and green T-shirts, I’m hoping to have the revised version of Silver Shoes available for this year’s OZtoberFest in September! Here is a sneak peek at the brand new cover—an enhanced, more sinister, more magical take on the original design. The book itself has gone through some editing. Nothing major, and the story remains the same! I just tightened up the prose a bit and embellished a few sections in my never-ending attempt to make it even better. Hope you enjoy, and see you in September!
I’ve just started “Silver Shoes” (I purchased both “Silver Shoes” and “The Powder of Life” for my Nook), and I love it so far! (SPOILER ALERT! – I’m just at the part where George is telling Donny and Bill about who was in his barn when he was a kid!).
My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to an “Oz” convention somewhere this coming year, and where ever we decide, I hope that we’re fortunate enough to be able to meet you there!
Lisa, thanks so much for taking the time to write, and for your kind words! So glad you’re enjoying the adventures with Donald, George, and the the others. I had fun writing the first two stories, and I’m hard at work on the third now.
I’m heading off today (in fact) for Wamego, Kansas, for their annual OZtoberFest, and it’s likely that I will be back next (late) spring for Oz-Stravaganza! 2016, held in Chittenango, NY, each year, the birthplace of L. Frank Baum. Both are terrific public events, and if you should make it to either one, please be sure to find me and say hello.
Happy reading, and thank you again!
Have a wonderful time in Wamego! We’re from NY, and although the Chittenango trip sounds fun and would be closer, we kind of want to go on a journey for our trip. So actually, the Wamego trip next year is currently at the top of our list (close second is Grand Rapids, Minn. for the Judy G. Museum!). The more I read about Wamego, the more I want to head there, and my guy is leaving it up to me since I’m the huge “Oz” fan.
Safe travels, and can’t wait to see the third book!
Thank you again, Lisa!
